Karla is best known for her color field works in soft pastels and her
hard-edged realism. Karla received her Master's of Fine Arts (MFA) in 1983
from the University of New York at Albany. In Passing of an American
Era, she presents paintings in her barn series that marks a romantic
era in American history.
