Sunrise Boulevard, Camano Island. Jeannie sold her first painting when she was about 13 years old at the Missoula County Fair in western Montana. Her Dad never let her hear the end of it and often reminded her of how much he loved the purple art deco rooster that she took $15 for. So began an art career. Jeannie paints in a variety of styles from classic still life to surrealism to whimsical. She works with oils, acrylics, colored pencil, collage and encaustic (an ancient medium of melted, pigmented wax). “Some of my artwork conveys great depth and passion, while some of it is just silly.” – Jeannie Burham A member of Camano Art Association and secretary of the Stanwood Camano Arts Guild, she is represented locally by Gallery in the Loft, located just 5 minutes West of Stanwood at Camano Commons, 848 North Sunrise Boulevard, on Camano “no ferries” Island.
